To meet the evolving needs of our membership, Tyson’s Corner Chapter (TCC) provides a mentoring program for Chapter members. This program is one of our Chapter’s major initiatives and we are excited to offer it again this year. Feedback from last year’s “pilot” program was very positive and both mentors and mentees received value.
Dependent on the amount of participation and our ability to successfully match mentees to mentors, we plan to start the program in September 2008 and end it in June 2009.
We are looking for 15-18 Mentees and the same number of Mentors. We envision that Mentors will primarily be drawn from the extensive base of NCMA Fellows that are Chapter members; however opportunities for being a Mentor are not limited to the Fellows. Based on the feedback from last year, we are maintaining the informal structure of the program since our membership needs are so diverse.
