Basic Contracting Courses

***PRICE***
Individual classes are $50.00 each (member), $60.00 (non-member).  Entire series (either 1 or 2) are $375.00 (member), $455 (non-member).

***ONLINE REGISTRATION***
To register for any of the Basic Contracting Courses please go to the Calendar of Events or click on the class below. To register for an entire series of classes go to the Calendar of Events and click on the day of the first class.  You will have the option of registering for the first class or the entire series of classes, or click on the entire series link below. 

***OTHER NOTES***
Please note that all instructors are volunteers, and that due to unpredictable work schedules we may on occasion use an alternative instructor. 

***CANCELLATION POLICY***
Refunds are only given if requested no later than 72 hours before scheduled class time. 
Note also, online registration will be closed 3-days prior to start of course date.

11/09 - 1/11  Entire Series 

Eight (8) 2-hour classes on the fundamentals of federal government contract administration, following up on our popular Basic Contracting Series 1 courses.

11/09  Basic Understanding and Use of Subcontractor & Supplier/Vendor Agreements

Taught by Barbara Doherty, this course walks you through most major documents used in subcontract administration, including flow-downs of prime contract clauses and teaming agreements.

11/16  Subcontract Management

Taught by Luis Ambroggio, this course deals with how to manage your subcontractors, and for subs – how to deal with your prime contractors. 

11/23  Responsibility, Accountability and Authority for COTR

Taught by Tabitha Cucciardo, this course outlines the legal and practical aspects of being – or dealing with – a federal COTR.

11/30  GSA Schedule Contracting

Taught by Ed Rinkavage, this course walks you through the GSA Schedule contracting system.

12/07  Performance Based Contracting

Taught by Marlys Norby, this course gives you the tools, artifacts, planning, and measurement you will need for implementing performance-based contracts.

12/14  Elements of a good SOW

Statements of Work made simple, taught by Marina Snider.

12/21  Responsibility, Accountability and Authority for Contract Administrators

The flip side of the November 23 course, this program, taught by Barbara Doherty, outlines the legal and practical responsibilities of contractor contract managers.

01/11  Contract Closeout

This course, taught by Michelle Schmidt, outlines how to get to final payment and how to tie up other loose ends at the end of the contracting process.
